Fathers of the Brave is an organization where Dads (and Moms) can go to share thoughts, ideas, and concerns regarding the honored military service of their son or daughter. FOTB was founded by a retired Boston cop who was looking for help, advice, and guidance when his son was seriously wounded in Afghanistan. Finding few resources to help him, he elected to start his own resource center called Fathers of the Brave designed primarily to support military dads. Bob serves as Vice President. Now, the organization sends $500 support packages, bedside to the families of wounded soldiers.
St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay. By supporting St. Jude, we’re all helping continue our lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children!
Our foundation was created in 2007, and all proceeds from our annual poker run ride go to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. We started The Snow Ride to help support the neonatal intensive care unit “NICU” at Connecticut Children’s after both our son and daughter were in the unit for a combined seven weeks at birth. After suffering persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn “PPHN”, our son is now seven and our daughter is nine, healthy, smart, and happy thanks to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
